UYN® – Unleash Your Nature is the new technical sponsor of the UCI Pro Continental cycling team Gazprom-RusVelo. The new cycling collection of the Italian sports clothing producer will support the pro riders during the 2019 season. Following the market entry of UYN® in autumn 2018 with five base layer collections among others, the brand will expand its portfolio in the coming spring/summer with a biking and running collection.
As technical sponsor, UYN® will equip the team with their jersey and bib short as well as accessories from the UYN® ALPHA BIKING collection. Thanks to the unique 3-dimensional knitting technology with which the jersey and the trousers are produced, the logos of the team sponsors are embroidered directly and are not printed on, as is otherwise customary. From spring 2019, the team outfit will also be available in the Webshop. “We are proud to support this ambitious cycling project with young, talented Russian racers,” says UYN® brand manager Giuseppe Bovo. “In professional cycling, the riders always operate to the limit, doing so in all weathers. For this, they require perfect equipment. This experience helps us to keep on improving our products further and to produce clothing on highest standards regarding performance and comfort.”
ALPHA stands for performance, right down to the smallest detail
The equipment of the Gazprom-Rusvelo team is based on the ALPHA BIKING Shirt Short Sleeves as well as the ALPHA BIKING Bib Tight Short, which are available at retailers from March on. The
100 percent biobased yarn NATEX is 25 percent lighter and dries up to 50 percent faster than equivalent fibres. HyperMotion – the shoulder and arm part knitted in one piece – allows maximum freedom of movement and supports an upright posture. T-Hexagon, a fabric structure consisting of three-dimensional hexagons, provides for balanced climate control. The outer legs and straps of the trousers are also knitted in one piece. The lycra inlay on the inner leg as well as at the seat, in combination with the anatomically formed seat padding, prevents any rubbing and ensures sitting comfort even in long stages.
