UYN's heart beats as one with those of its champions. Standing alongside the world’s greatest skiers means not only attending to their performance by providing the best products, made with the most cutting-edge technologies and years of research, but above all sharing their emotions. The wait at the starting-gate, the adrenaline rush of the race, the finish line, the winner’s tears of pure happiness.
The greatest joy of all came from the Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre, Sweden, on Wednesday 6 February. UYNner Dominik Paris won gold in the Super-G: a first in the career of the skiing ace from Alto Adige and a first in the super short history of the brand launched by Italian company Trerè Innovation.
But UYN’s success in the Super-G at the world championships was all the more extraordinary when you think that only athletes wearing UYN functional underwear stepped onto the podium and that as many as nine UYNners ranked among the top ten. Paris finished 9-hundredths of a second ahead of France’s Johan Clarey and Austria’s Vincent Kriechmayr, who tied for silver. It was a perfect race for Paris, navigated with stamina and skill despite poor visibility and temperatures well below zero. UYN underwear offered all the support of its advanced materials and innovative systems in the extreme conditions of Åre, to ensure the best performance possible.
UYN is partnered with seven of the best national teams competing in the world championships: Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Norway, Slovenia and Russia. Thanks to this prestigious collaboration, it has developed and tested the NATYON line, with dedicated colours for each team and specific solutions to meet the champions’ needs. NATYON underwear boasts exceptional technical performance, with a targeted compression effect to help the muscles during physical activity and speed up energy recovery. HYPERMOTION technology in the shoulder region guarantees maximum freedom of movement, while the special structure of the fabric enables the body to dissipate heat and stay dry at all times. These are not just details, but key advantages, especially when the line between victory and defeat is only a few hundredths of a second long.
With Paris, UYN has recently clinched victories at the temples of speed of Kitzbuhel, in Austria and Bormio, Italy. His triumphs on the legendary Streif and Stelvio slopes have contributed to the total of 25 wins out of 27 World Cup races by UYN athletes. The World Championships in Åre opened on Tuesday 5 February with UYNner Sofia Goggia’s magnificent silver in the Super-G, and continue until Sunday 17 February. You can keep up-to-date on the results of our champions on our Instagram profile and Facebook page, watching out for new exciting victories. The UYN brand is proud to be part of this terrific mix of emotions.
