Sealing in the win! In addition to Federica Brignone’s success in the women’s competition, UYN is celebrating a win in the men’s World Cup with Aleksander Kilde. For the first time, two #UYNners have conquered the top spots, winning the two most coveted crystal globes.
With the Kranjska Gora races and the finals in Cortina cancelled, the Norwegian athlete was awarded his career-first title as champion early. He tops the overall standings ahead of Frenchman Alexis Pinturault and Norwegian teammate Henrik Kristoffersen: a full UYN podium!
This season, Kilde took victories in the Saalbach Super-G and on another six occasions was among the top three - the most consistent performance. Teammate Kristoffersen won the slalom and giant slalom Cups, while Pinturault took first place in the combined.
An extraordinary haul: 45 wins!
Another has come to an end, a successful one for UYN and our second as a leading figure in winter sports. The data sums up our success nicely: of a total of 66 World Cup races (36 for men, 30 for women), our #UYNners recorded some 45 wins (27 for the men, 18 for the women).
The Natyon base layer and socks supported the champions through their challenges on the slopes, once again proving itself the most successful and high-performing.
